Review: The Summer House in Santorini by Samantha Parks
One summer in Greece will change everything…
Anna’s running away. From a failed relationship, a dead-end career and a complicated family life.
On the island of Santorini, with its picturesque villas, blue-tiled roofs, and the turquoise waters of the Aegean lapping at the white sand beaches, Anna inherits a less-than-picturesque summer house from her estranged father. As she rebuilds the house, she rebuilds her life, uncovering family secrets along the way that change everything. She starts to fall for her little slice of paradise, as well as for gorgeous, charming Nikos.
Will Anna lose her heart in more ways than one?
My Rating: 3/5
The Summer House in Santorini is a story of a family whose bonds are severed and filled with hurt, lies, and betrayal. But is Anna blaming the wrong person for the pain of her childhood?
Anna and her sister inherit a summer house in Santorini when their estranged father passes away and discover that according to Greek law, one of them has to visit the island to formally accept their inheritance. With her sister indisposed and unable to make the trip, Anna visits the homeland of their father and discovers so much more than just the place she's seen in photographs.
Can she sort the truth from the lies?
A good debut novel from the Author, and an easy read.
